View LinkedIn Without Account: In the current digital era, social media accounts of individuals are seen as reflections of their lives, ideas, passions, beliefs, hobbies, and other pursuits. This is why it shouldn’t surprise you if a new acquaintance searches for you on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.
But how frequently do you look at a new acquaintance’s LinkedIn profile? Even if it’s uncommon, LinkedIn profiles can be quite helpful when it comes to outreach, collaboration, recruiting, and job-hunting because they’re filled with useful information about the user and are typically simple to access.
Can you say the same thing, though, about doing such an action from outside the platform?
That’s the issue we’ll try to address in today’s blog post. Continue reading to learn how to browse a LinkedIn profile without signing in in full.
How to View Linkedin Profile Without Signing in (Linkedin Search Without Login)
While LinkedIn may be distinct from other social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram, it adheres to the same discoverability rules as the other sites. Therefore, whether or not you may view someone’s profile outside of LinkedIn would depend on whether or not they have switched on or off the visibility of their public profile.
However, since it is your ability and not theirs that is in dispute, let’s presume that they have truly kept their profile visible. There are two ways to check someone’s profile if you need to do so outside of the platform. You can directly look them up on Google (or any other search engine) by copying their LinkedIn profile link and pasting it into the search bar of your web browser. Change your web browser to incognito mode if you have signed into LinkedIn.
What can you uncover on their profile? Let’s move on to something else crucial. You could see their: if they haven’t added any privacy on their profile.
- Header image
- Profile picture
- Headline
- Websites (if added)
- Profile summary
- LinkedIn activity (only three of the most recent ones)
- Work experience (both current and past)
- Education details
- Certifications
- Languages
- Groups they re a part of
- Recommendations that they ve received (only three of the most recent ones)
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of what you won’t be able to do or see here. You wouldn’t be able to view all of their LinkedIn activity without signing in, only the three most recent ones, as you can see for yourself above. The same holds true for the advice.
In addition to these, you would not be able to interact with them in any manner, follow them, or connect with them. Therefore, if that is all you need to know, feel free to view their profile without entering into your LinkedIn account. We do, however, have a better option if you need more information but cannot afford to be found. Learn more about it by continuing to read.
How to View Linkedin Profile Anonymously
Since we’ve previously addressed your query, do you mind if we take a brief detour to address another issue? Regarding anonymity. varying social media networks have varying definitions of anonymity. Consider Snapchat as an example. Because of its exceptional privacy policies (and the beauty filters, obviously), this social media platform is successful.
Instead, the focus of websites like LinkedIn is on building a professional, universal network that anyone can join. Users need to broaden their audience and gain greater exposure in order for things to happen, and retaining privacy is no way to achieve that, which is precisely why the platform isn’t big on allowing its users to behave anonymously.
Launch the LinkedIn app on your smartphone as the first step.
Step 2: Navigate to your profile picture’s thumbnail icon in the top-left corner of your screen from the Home tab you are currently on. When you locate it, tap on it.
Step 3: Immediately following this, a menu will slide in from the left side of your screen.
Your name and a small version of your profile photo are displayed at the top of this menu, and immediately below them are the following two choices:View your settings and profile. Here, select the second choice.
Step 4: The following is your Settingstab. Your screen would then display a list of numerous selectable options, such as Account preferences, Data privacy, and so forth.
Navigate to Visibility, which is the third item in this list, and tap it.
Step 5: After doing so, your account’s Visibility tab will appear. You’ll see that this tab is split into two distinct sections:Network and profile visibility, as well as LinkedIn activity visibility
The first section’s top choice is what you’re looking for:choices for seeing profiles.
Step 6: once selecting this option, you will be taken to the Profile viewing tab where you may choose what other people will see once you have viewed their profile.
There are three possibilities for you to choose from:
- Your name and headline (showing your full identity, which is a default setting on LinkedIn)
- Private profile characteristics (mentioning your profession, industry, and location)
- Private mode (complete privacy)
When you receive a quickSettings updatednotification in green after selecting the third option, you can be sure that your changes have been saved and that your profile’s private mode has been turned on.
Currently, the only notification a LinkedIn user receives when you check their profile is: Someone saw your profile.
